Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold an active California license as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Certification: Current BLS/BCLS certification required.
- Knowledge:
- Physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology
- Disease processes and rehabilitation principles
- Infection control and sterile techniques in rehabilitative care
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient needs.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, functional independence, and quality of life.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed in collaboration with physicians and care teams.
- Document patient care and treatment outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and departmental policies.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, exercises, and rehabilitation plans.
- Ensure safe use and maintenance of therapy equipment and maintain a clean, safe treatment environment.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all regulatory and organizational policies.
- Demonstrate professional behavior and effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
- Adhere to dress code and professional standards.
- Participate in continuing education, departmental meetings, and quality improvement activities as required.
- Maintain accurate records and complete assigned tasks within required timeframes.
- Rehabilitation services supporting inpatient and outpatient populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Collaborative healthcare environment working closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
