Trauma-Informed Caregiver | Upper West Side (Part-Time, $30/hr)
Seeking an experienced, trauma-informed female caregiver to support a 38yo woman with cPTSD and chronic illness in her home.
The work: Co-regulation and grounding, helping her stay calm and de-escalating panic as it builds. Some excellent skills are Somatic regulation, grounding touch, guided meditation, active listening, and holding space for grief and fear.
About her: After a chiropractic injury, she now lives with cranial cervical instability, Lyme, and severe PMDD. Mostly housebound, with limited use of her arms. Formerly a performing artist and holistic chef, she is warm, creative, and still very much herself. Responds best to maternal kindness, present compassionate, authentic.
You are: Genuinely experienced with trauma and have tools that you bring from your own training and experience. Self-regulated and steady when things get hard. Consistent, warm, proactive, assertive. Someone who can be a friend and believes she will heal.
