Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Executive Sous Chef to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in all kitchen operations. Key duties include supervising kitchen staff, managing food preparation, ensuring compliance with health and food safety standards, and maintaining the highest quality of food presentation. This position also involves menu development, inventory control, staff training, and fostering a positive team culture in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment.


Qualifications

  • Culinary expertise, including hands-on cooking skills, food preparation, and ability to execute Italian cuisine at an elevated level.
  • Kitchen operations knowledge, such as inventory management, portion control, and ensuring adherence to health and sanitation standards.
  • Leadership experience, including the ability to train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff while fostering a collaborative and professional working environment.
  • Menu development skills and experience in creating innovative dishes that align with the restaurant's culinary vision.
  • Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations and delivery of exceptional dishes.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in an upscale or fine-dining environment. Formal culinary training or relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a fast-paced environment.
