Shift: 1st - 6:00am-2:30pm EST

Position Summary:

The Mixer is responsible for accurately measuring, blending, and processing chemical ingredients according to precise formulations and safety standards. This role ensures the consistent quality of mixed products by following batch instructions, monitoring equipment, and maintaining detailed production records. 

Essential Function of the Job:

• Mix batches in accordance with mixing instructions and procedures
• Can exhibit leadership qualities and self-motivated to carry out tasks
• Will cooperate and communicate with management, co-workers, and vendors
• Will participate in team meetings as necessary
• Perform ingredient weigh up and scale up for mixing batches
• Maintain logs and required records
• Load ingredients into mixing tanks
• Check for proper filling, seals, or damaged incoming ingredient packages
• Perform proper housekeeping cleaning/sanitizing equipment
• Perform raw material and finished mix cycle counts monthly
• Rework product as needed, working with the lab
• Wash equipment, clean, & sanitize equipment/inspections
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices
• Must be good with Microsoft Office programs
• Must have good math skills in order to do unit conversions and repairs
• Maintain record of all raw materials coming to plant and maintain efficient safety regulations
• Maintain all mixing plant equipment and perform troubleshoot with maintenance.
• Maintain optimal quality of all products and recommend improvements to the lab
• Manage inventory of all mixing plant supplies and ensure accuracy in same according to required policies and procedures and manage all communication for safety standards
• Perform regular inspection on all machinery and maintain compliance to all regulations such as OSHA.

Requirements:

• Previous experience with operating tow motors, mixing equipment and scales is a must
• Must have the physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Follow procedures/directions and be safety minded
