π Are you a bilingual (MandarinβEnglish) Project/Program Manager with deep automotive manufacturing experience and the ability to lead complex builds across the US and China?
This is a high-visibility role supporting a Battery Pack Build at a vendor facility in China, with direct exposure to executive leadership.
π Assignment Structure
πΉ First half: Onsite between Newark, CA & Phoenix, AZ
πΉ Second half: Onsite in China for the duration of the vendor build
πΉMandarin Chinese fluency is mandatory
βοΈ What Youβll Do
π§ Serve as clientβs on-site representative at a China-based vendor facility
π Lead cross-functional planning with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain & Operations
π Own integrated project schedules aligned to program launch milestones
π Monitor daily production activities to ensure quality & build-spec compliance
π Coordinate inbound materials, outbound logistics, and inventory system readiness
β οΈ Identify, mitigate, and report risks related to timing, quality, and logistics
π£ Present clear executive summaries to VPs, highlighting status, risks, and mitigation plans
π€ Act as the primary liaison between client teams and vendor operations
β Must-Have Qualifications
β 8 years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing Project/Program Management
β 8 years managing China-based manufacturing operations & vendors
β Business fluency in Mandarin Chinese (Read/Speak/Write)
β Executive-level communication & presentation experience
β Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
β Willingness to be onsite in China for the build duration
π― Preferred Experience
π Battery pack assembly & validation
π Automotive homologation & salability requirements
π Assembly equipment integrators
π PMP certification
