An experienced Project Manager is needed to oversee the execution of a battery pack build at a China-based vendor facility. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination, on-site leadership, and executive-level communication to ensure production readiness, quality, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site representative at the vendor facility.
• Lead planning with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Maintain integrated project timelines and ensure tooling, material, and logistics readiness.
• Oversee daily production and ensure adherence to quality standards and build specifications.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound material flow and inventory systems.
• Identify and mitigate risks; deliver clear updates to senior leadership.
• Support validation, quality verification, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field (PMP preferred).
• 10 years of project management experience in automotive manufacturing.
• 10 years working with China-based manufacturing operations and vendor management.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; able to brief VP-level executives.
• Business-fluent Mandarin Chinese.
• Willingness to travel and remain on-site in China for the duration of the build.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and supply chain logistics.
