Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – R&D
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Role Summary
Hands-on R&D role focused on designing, building, and testing mechanical systems for advanced lab/diagnostic equipment.
What You’ll Do
- Design mechanical subsystems (electro-mechanical, thermal, pneumatic)
- Build and test prototypes
- Support system integration and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
- Create CAD models and technical documentation
What You Need
- Degree in Mechanical/Bioengineering or related
- 2–5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience
- Strong skills in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar)
- Experience with prototyping and testing
- Knowledge of thermal systems and complex mechanical assemblies
Nice to Have
- Life science or diagnostic instrumentation experience
- Exposure to fluidics (not required)
- Familiarity with Python/LabVIEW or simulation tools
