Typical Day in the Role Purpose of the Team: The Vehicle Dynamics team focuses on the design and physical development of how the vehicle drives. This sub group focuses specifically splits their time in office and traveling with the vehicles to different test sites to test the functions that they work on.
Key projects: This role will contribute to attributes including - steering, handling, breaking performance, etc. and how well the vehicle drives.

Candidate Requirements Years of Experience Required: 3-5 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required: BS/BEng or MS/MEng, or equivalent experience, in Mechanical Engineering
Disqualifiers: Candidates without vehicle dynamics or suspension or development design experience will not be considered.
Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain:
- Experience with Driver In The Loop software (DIL).
- Candidates with previous motorsport experience
- SAE knowledge or experience
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality. Top 3 Hard Skills Required Years of Experience 1. 5 or more years of Automotive experience with a solid understanding of vehicle dynamics principles
2. Minimum 3 years' Proven experience in ADAMS, CarRealTime, CarMaker, CarSim or similar
3. Minimum 3 years Understanding of Matlab/Simulink fundamentals
Hard Skills Assessments Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP
Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 1st round recruiting screening and a 2nd round technical screening and a final team panel.
Required Candidate Preparation: Once candidates go through the 2nd round assessment, they will need to complete a 3 slide deck presentation which will be presented to the panel in the 3rd round.
We are looking for a Sr. Engineer Vehicle Dynamics Simulation to guide development of ride, handling, steering and braking attributes from early concept stage through execution.
You will work with development engineers, software engineers and system owners across the company to develop and deliver world-class suspension, steering, braking wheel/tire and vehicle dynamics systems from concept to production.
The Role:
Develop, maintain and use vehicle/system models to support vehicle design and development
Provide objective data guidance on vehicle dynamics and durability performance based on simulation outputs
Guide vehicle development by subjectively evaluating vehicle dynamics performance in driving simulator
Analysis of real world test data, correlation of models
Qualifications:
5 or more years of Automotive experience with a solid understanding of vehicle dynamics principles
Proven experience in ADAMS, CarRealTime, CarMaker, CarSim or similar
Understanding of Matlab/Simulink fundamentals
Familiarity with Python, C
Advantageous: 8 years of automotive (or relevant) engineering experience
Experience with and/or working knowledge of simulation and analysis tools (e.g. ADAMS, Dymola, Carsim, MatLab, Python, etc.)
Experience with and/or good knowledge of vehicle assembly plant processes and practices
A creative problem-solving mindset combined with business acumen to aid teams in obtaining ideas as well as leading development and execution
Education Requirements:
BS/BEng or MS/MEng in a related Engineering discipline
The national base pay range below is a good-faith estimate of what our client may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Client's assessment of the candidates knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $155,000 - $170,000
