Job Details
Role: CAE Optimization Engineer
Location: Newark, CA (Onsite)
Need Someone with NVH, crash, durability, and manufacturing by applying advanced CAE optimization techniques to reduce mass, enhance performance, and guide design decisions.
Required Skills:
- Set up and execute structural optimizations (design space, constraints, objectives, etc.)
- Interpret results and propose manufacturable solutions
- Perform subsystem and full-vehicle level optimization (stiffness, stress, mass)
- Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies
- Use tools like OptiStruct, NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
- Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance across attributes
- Provide design guidance during concept phases
- Script in Python or TCL
- Bachelor s (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience, with 1 2 years in optimization
- Strong FEA fundamentals and CAE optimization knowledge
- Familiar with OptiStruct/NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
