In this role, you will lead diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance efforts on trucks and trailers while mentoring and supporting other technicians to ensure efficient operations and high performance standards. Schedule
- Night Shift
- Rotating weekend on-call schedule required
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee nightly shop operations and workflow
- Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
- Conduct preventative maintenance services, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Guide, mentor, and support junior technicians to ensure quality workmanship and efficiency
- Coordinate repair priorities and timelines to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Ensure shop cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance
- Assist with managing and maintaining parts inventory
- MIG aluminum and steel welding experience is a plus, but not required
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of diesel mechanic experience required
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, truck systems, and repair procedures
- ASE Diesel Certification preferred
- Valid Class A CDL preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift up to 150 pounds
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
- Comfortable working overnight hours and responding to after-hours maintenance needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
