The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative duties to support the operation of Transylvania County Schools.
Job Duties:
Distribution, assignment and tracking of work orders.
Maintain custodial and school supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies;placing and expeding orders for supplies; verfiying receipt of supplies.
Accurately perform a variety of complex and responsible clerical duties for the departments and faculty in assigned areas.
Provide routine clerical support to faculty and/or staff; produce/type reports, memos, and letters.
Manage, organize, and maintain detailed paper and electronic records and files..
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Maintain office supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
Complete special projects and assignments as required and perform related duties as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.
