SUMMARY – Logistics Coordinator
Shift: Monday to Friday 07:00-16:00 (Will start as a remote position transitioning to Hybrid)
TransX Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator - Dallas, TX USA to join our Sales & Marketing Department. Reporting to the Director of Logistics USA, The Logistics Coordinator coordinates transportation activities from booking to confirmed delivery. The incumbent manages rate requests, dispatch schedules, and carrier assignments to ensure shipments meet cost and service standards. They also prepare quotes, track shipments, and resolve service or documentation issues to maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

KEY ACTIVITIES
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Customer Coordination & Service Execution
- Coordinate shipment details between customers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Confirm bookings, rate approvals, and delivery schedules.
- Provide proactive communication on shipment status and service changes.
- Ensure documentation accuracy and timely delivery confirmations.
- Dispatch & Transportation Planning
- Schedule and monitor daily shipments according to customer priorities.
- Assign carriers based on performance, cost, and availability.
- Track progress and address delays or exceptions to maintain service reliability.
- Record updates in the TMS and communicate with internal teams.
- Rate & Quote Coordination
- Prepare customer quotes using approved rate structures.
- Validate pricing details with carriers and confirm customer acceptance.
- Maintain accurate rate and service files for reference.
- Support Sales in bid submissions, renewals, and pricing requests.
- Carrier Relations & Performance Follow-Up
- Communicate service expectations and gather feedback from carriers.
- Resolve billing, service, or scheduling discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance records and carrier contact information.
- Provide information to improve carrier responsiveness and reliability.
- Cost Accuracy & Service Reporting
- Verify shipment costs and ensure billing accuracy.
- Track and report customer and carrier performance metrics.
- Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare weekly reports summarizing service and cost trends.
- Process Optimization & Team Support
- Review daily workflows and suggest efficiency improvements.
- Maintain updated SOPs and ensure process compliance.
- Assist in team training and cross-functional communication.
- Support the development of standardized reporting and documentation.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Education
- Three (3) to five (5) years in transportation coordination and logistics support
- CITT or CIFFA certifications is an asset
- Transportation industry experience is an asset
- Experience in sales, customer service is an asset
Experience
- Proficiency in TMS platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of carrier rates and logistics workflows.
- Good knowledge of North American geography.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Skilled in data analysis and process improvement.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
- Able to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
