What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Specialist and Freight Broker Manager position at Transworth Logistics & Leasing?
We are a small, independent and very successful trucking company (assets & brokerage) located in Southwest Georgia (Approx. 90 miles from Atlanta). We have built up a consistent and substantial business over the last 25 years to include freight brokerage and a fleet of 25 dry van trucks/trailers. With this growth and success, we are looking for an experienced Freight Broker /Operations Specialist to come on board to manage the brokerage department.

• Make good and profitable business decisions while also making sure the customer is completely
satisfied.
· Manage and grow relationships with our existing customers
· Develop new customer accounts and generate new business
· Quote and negotiate freight rates
· Find and negotiate with qualified carriers
· Book and coordinate dry van loads
· Track shipments from pickup through delivery
· Communicate with customers, carriers, and drivers
· Handle rate confirmations and necessary paperwork
· Resolve service issues quickly and professionally
· Help increase our daily load volume and brokerage revenue
What We’re Looking For
· 1–6 years of freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation experience preferred
· Dry van, truck load experience preferred
· Strong customer-service and communication skills
· Comfortable with sales, negotiating, and developing new business
· Organized and able to manage multiple loads at once
· Self-motivated and dependable
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Willing to work out of the company’s office in Columbus GA
Compensation
Competitive salary commission
Salary is based on experience and qualifications, with additional earning potential through commissions.
