The EV Porter is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, charging, cleanliness, and overall readiness of electric vehicles within the fleet. This role supports daily operations by ensuring vehicles are properly positioned, charged, inspected, and prepared for service, while accurately documenting vehicle conditions and reporting any issues.
Compensation:
- $25.00 - $25.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:
- Safely shuttle electric vehicles between operating locations, charging stations, service areas, and base facilities.
- Plug in, unplug, and monitor vehicles at designated charging stations to ensure optimal charge levels.
- Maintain vehicles in a clean, presentable, and service-ready condition, including:
- Exterior washing and light detailing
- Interior cleaning and sanitization
- Perform basic visual inspections before and after vehicle movement, checking for:
- Damage
- Warning lights or system alerts
- Cleanliness and readiness
- Document and report mechanical issues, damage, or operational concerns using fleet management or reporting tools.
- Coordinate vehicle staging and parking to support efficient dispatch and utilization.
- Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Assist with basic operational tasks such as tire pressure checks, windshield fluid refills, and cable management.
- Support special assignments, pilot programs, or operational changes related to EV fleet operations.
- Provide courteous and professional interactions with team members and customers, as applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience working in the transportation industry preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate electric vehicles safely and responsibly
- Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, or digital reporting tools
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
- Prior experience with vehicle handling, fleet operations, or portering preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Capability to lift and move charging cables and light equipment
- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
