Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Movers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting, loading, and unloading Houeshold Goods and equipment within commercial buildings and residential homes. This role requires strong attention to safety protocols, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate various equipment. The Mover will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient logistics operations while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies using appropriate tools such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and dollies.
- Operate heavy trucks accordance with OSHA standards.
- Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
- Handle materials safely during movement within the warehouse or job site, including heavy lifting and proper stacking.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and company policies during all operations.
- Support warehouse distribution activities, including order picking and load & unload processes.
- Ensure the workspace remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in wrapping and carrying household goods and office furniture.
- Ability to operate heavy trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation.
- Experience with load & unload procedures in warehouse or jobsite environments.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and materials handling over extended periods.
- Prior moving & storage experience is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety and efficiency are prioritized. Pay: $17.00 - $33.00 per hour
