WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Operate, set-up, and adjust controls on Wirtgen / Roadtec milling machine to remove asphalt from highways, residential streets, parking lots and construction sites
- Inspect and perform maintenance on milling machine such as greasing, cleaning, and preventative
- Work closely with milling crew to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Maintain constant awareness of surrounding traffic, crew movement, and equipment in work zones
- Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures
- Adapt to changing dispatch, schedules, weather conditions, and operational changes
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in asphalt milling, paving, road construction, or related heavy equipment operations
- Strong knowledge of equipment inspection and maintenance needs
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and extended hours as needed
- Must have clean MVR and have valid Florida driver’s license
- Ability to safely work outdoors in tight spaces and uneven surfaces around loud noises and dust
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
