What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver position at Transportation?
**Position includes assisting Special Needs students**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Safe Transport: Drive assigned routes on time while obeying all traffic laws ad school board of company regulations.
- Passenger Assistance: Help passengers board and exit the vehicle, including operating wheelchair lifts, securing tie-downs, and fastening specialized seat belts or car seats.
- Vehicle inspections: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip safety checks of the vehicle, equipment, fluid, levels, and tires.
- Behavior & Safety Management: Maintain a calm environment, monitor passenger safety, and follow specific individual behavioy support or emergency protocols.
- Communication & Logs: Keep accurate daily mileage, attendance, and indcident logs; communicate clearly with parents, school staff, or transportation.
No CDL required.
