ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an exceptionally dependable, safety conscious Independent Contractor to provide school day transportation for students in the Upper Valley and Norwich areas. Due to the critical safety requirements of transporting students, this position offers a premium daily rate designed to attract elite candidates, such as retired teachers, childcare professionals, or dedicated operators seeking a highly lucrative, short distance route.
ROUTE DETAILS & TIME COMMITMENT
- Incredibly Low Mileage: Virtually zero fuel impact.
- Split-Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday. Morning drop-offs (approx. 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM) and afternoon pickups (approx. 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM).
- High Hourly Equivalent: Active operational time is under 2 hours per day, rendering an effective gross yield of roughly $60.00 per active hour.
MANDATORY CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS
- Background Check Authorization: Must absolutely be able to pass a rigorous, clean criminal background screening, child abuse history check, and FBI fingerprint clearance.
- Driving History: Must hold a valid NH or VT driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) showing no recent at-fault accidents or major violations.
- Drug Screening: Must pass a pre-contractual drug and alcohol screening.
- Vehicle Requirements: Must utilize a reliable, highly clean, modern 4-door vehicle (sedan, SUV, or minivan) with fully functional heating and air conditioning.
- Insurance Coverage Limits: Contractor must maintain automobile liability coverage at limits required by applicable law and the transportation contract, or higher limits established by the company. Proof of insurance must identify the insured vehicle and coverage period.
