BUS DRIVER

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Bus Driver. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on designated routes while ensuring a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and a passion for serving the community.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bus in a safe and efficient manner according to established routes and schedules.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate authorities promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Participate in training programs and safety meetings as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably in a public transportation setting.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to assist passengers and perform necessary duties related to the job.
