QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Must possess a valid Nebraska driver’s license and have a good driving record.
- Must be of good moral character.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)
- Assists the driver by monitoring student behavior and upholding rules.
- Exercises sound judgment and maintains good public relations with parents, students, and staff.
- Arrives at bus barn 15 minutes before scheduled departure time.
- Learns the route and is able to assist substitute drivers with directions and any other pertinent information about the students and/or the route.
- Monitors safety supplies in and on all special education vehicles
- Emergency Response Checklist
- First Aid
- Assist with loading and unloading of passengers.
- Greets students and parents with courtesy and politeness.
- Dresses appropriately for the job.
- Works in partnership with the driver.
