Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck for local route driving and delivery of goods to various destinations.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forpallet jacks, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering products with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
- Verify delivery details, complete necessary documentation, and obtain signatures upon receipt.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Navigate routes efficiently, adhering to schedules and traffic laws while maintaining a positive attitude.
Skills
- must be okay with being on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures and inventory handling.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles with manual transmission confidently.
- Familiarity with equipment such as pallet jacks, and load securing techniques.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with
