What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic - Palmetto position at Transportation Services Unlimited?
We are looking for a Fleet Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for light repairs to our diesel trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes and lubrication
- Applicant has the ability to repair, reline, replace and adjust brakes
- Perform welding and cutting
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Complete work orders and discuss work with supervisor
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
