What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Clerk position at TRANSPORTATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT LLC?
Sunday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
Performs a variety of clerical and administrative functions under the direction of the Terminal Manager and/or the Operations Manager. These functions include utilization of dispatch and billing systems to track deliveries and prepare billing records and documentation, response to customer billing inquiries, researching and resolving billing discrepancies, data compilation and entry into various reports, coordination of the terminal billing function with the appropriate corporate departments; and other general clerical and administrative tasks as may be assigned.
- Captures billing data from loading and dispatch systems.
- Accurately enters billing data into standard documents and reports.
- Timely completes and transmits billing documentation to corporate office.
- Promptly and courteously responds to customer billing inquiries.
- Researches and resolves billing documentation discrepancies
- Assists in the answering of phone calls to the terminal office and routes calls to the proper personnel.
- Provides clerical and administrative assistance to the Terminal Manager and other management as requested.
- Acts professionally and ethically at all times.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two or more years of billing experience in the transportation industry.
- Proficiency in utilization of standard office suite computer software and ability to learn specialized document management and accounting programs.
- Familiarity with operation of standard office equipment including phone system, copier, fax, and scanner.
- Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Primarily works in a sedentary office environment with some walking, standing and climbing of stairs and ladders. Ability to lift or pull weights weighing up to 25 pounds. Primary work area in the terminal office, but may be required to spend a portion of the work time in a warehouse, or outdoor trailer yard. Must possess ability to work nights and weekends where required.
