JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations, reporting, and strategic initiatives. This position is responsible for core accounting functions, financial analysis, and process improvement efforts, while partnering closely with leadership to provide accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information.
This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reporting across the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage asset inventory accounting, including shop inventory and internal store inventory.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Track and record loan payments, including principal and interest allocations, and assist with loan-related reconciliations and schedules.
- Support and participate in the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis and trend identification.
- Develop and maintain financial metrics, dashboards, and reports for upper management.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
- Lead the preparation of journal entries and reconcile key GL accounts, including AP, AR, inventory, and payroll.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data aligns with operational activity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Provide support across all other accounting areas as needed to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Track and manage fixed assets, including sales, disposals, and depreciation.
- Serve as a lead within the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff.
- Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries.
- Performs other special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters/Bachelor/Associate Accounting Degree preferred.
- 5 years related experience preferred.
- Multiple systems knowledge—the individual needs to be able to proficiently work in multiple systems at one time.
- Fixed asset, inventory, and loan accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate effectively across departments.
- High degree of integrity required.
- Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to adapt to changing prioritization and last-minute adjustments.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with operations, fleet management, and vendors.

This job operates in a professional on-site office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, camera, and fax machines.
