Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each performance responsibility and its associated duty satisfactorily.??The qualification requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities?required.? 

• High school diploma or GED certificate. 

• Valid and current New Mexico Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class B) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements or will obtain licensure listed above in appropriate timely manner. All training and testing will be provided by the district. 

• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical). 

• First Aid and CPR Certification (maintained current). 

• Clear background check and driving record in compliance with New Mexico Standards for School Bus Operations. 

• Demonstrated knowledge of defensive driving practices, traffic laws, and safety procedures. 

• Ability to perform essential physical functions of the position, including assisting students with mobility needs. 

• Ability to use required transportation department technology (GPS systems, communication devices, student management applications). 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in office support or administrative roles, ideally in a school or transportation setting. 

• Training or experience in student/parent behavior management and de-escalation. 

• Knowledge of the district’s geographic area and school locations. 

• Experience as a school bus driver or in transportation dispatching. 

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Salary : $31,358 - $34,122
