REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) in English.
- One (1) year of related experience required, knowledge in the use of the shop tools, equipment, and shop procedures

A valid Texas Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record. Possession of a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License with a PS endorsement
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the warehousing and distributing of gasoline, oil, parts and supplies; assists in the maintenance of vehicle records, gas usage records and inventory records.
Operates buses or vehicles as needed; obeys traffic laws.
Maintains parts in room in proper order, maintaining cleanliness.
Maintains accurate computerized inventory, ensuring that data reflects actual parts in stock.
Purchases inventory to replace stock in coordination with proper purchase orders and accounts payable.
Coordinates with Shop Foreman/Supervisor to assure that the inventory matches fleet needs.
Solicits quotations and assists with the ordering of parts, supplies, gasoline, and oil.
Maintains the physical inventory for parts and supplies and transferring of equipment and supplies.
Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees.
Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Director.
