Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our auction team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, securing new consignments, and building lasting relationships with customers. You will work closely with clients to understand their equipment and sales needs, present auction solutions, and negotiate successful deals. The ideal candidate is outgoing, goal-oriented, and skilled in communication, customer service, and negotiation, with a strong passion for driving sales and contributing to the company's growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop rapport and build lasting relationships with new and existing customers
- Travel within assigned territory to meet with clients and prospects
- Present company services and solutions to potential and existing customers
- Identify, secure, and co-sign new customer accounts
- Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly sales and consignment targets
- Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills to close sales and build customer trust
- Record all leads, sales activities, and customer interactions in the CRM system
- Provide support with required paperwork and documentation as needed
- Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
- Proactively schedule appointments to maintain engagement and drive business growth
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of equipment and ability to communicate confidently with customers
- Quick thinker with sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven negotiating and relationship-building abilities
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, auctions, or the equipment/transportation industries
- High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and ability to be persistent
