Scheduling / Dispatch Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Scheduler / Dispatcher to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, managing customer needs, and ensuring on time performance. This role requires strong communication skills, effective multitasking abilities, and proficiency in various transportation management systems. The Scheduler / Dispatcher will play a crucial role in transporting our customers while maintaining high standards of customer service. Hours are from 12:00 noon - 6:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Duties

• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of our customers to medical facilities in the Cleveland County and surrounding areas.
• Utilize in house technologies for effective route planning and fleet management.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams using multi-line phone systems and radio communications.
• Analyze logistics data to improve efficiency in transportation planning.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Develop a daily work schedule for each individual driver in order to maximize efficiency while controlling cost and reducing miles.

Experience

• Proven experience in dispatching and scheduling is required
• Strong analytical skills to assess data.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with drivers and clients.
• Ability to type efficiently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of streets in Cleveland County preferred.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
