🕒 Full-Time | 4-Day Workweek | Sunday–Wednesday | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
💰 $30–$40/hr Depending on Experience
Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Reefer Technician / Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our Fort Wayne team. If you have experience working on mobile refrigeration units, trailer reefer systems, diesel-powered refrigeration equipment, or APUs, this is an opportunity to grow your career with a stable company offering strong pay, benefits, and work-life balance.
We are looking for technicians experienced with diagnosing and repairing Thermo King, Carrier, and mobile refrigeration systems used on trucks and trailers.
❄️ What You’ll Work On
- Transport refrigeration units (reefers)
- Trailer refrigeration systems
- APUs and diesel-powered auxiliary equipment
- Truck and trailer HVAC systems
- Electrical diagnostics and preventative maintenance
- DOT inspections, brakes, suspension, and trailer repairs

🔧 Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair reefer units and transport refrigeration systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, reefers, and APUs
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and refrigeration components
- Complete DOT/FHWA inspections
- Perform brake, suspension, and trailer repairs
- Handle tire repairs and replacements as needed
- Complete road service calls when required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
✅ Qualifications
- 3 years of reefer or transport refrigeration experience preferred
- Experience with Thermo King and/or Carrier refrigeration units preferred
- EPA 608 Certification strongly preferred (Type II or Universal)
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED
- Must own basic technician tools/toolbox
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
