Transport Pro Teach Center is seeking qualified Diesel Service Technician for our in-house fleet maintenance operation.
Transport Pro Tech Center is the name of our specialized vehicle maintenance facility conveniently located near the intersection of US 20 and SR 15, just North of Goshen, IN. This vehicle maintenance operation exists to support our owner operators. We have a lot of work keeping many hundreds of truck owners active and viable. Key Responsibilities
· Performing routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, brake inspection and tune ups.
· Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers, including tires, brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
· Test vehicles functionality post-repair to ensure proper performance and safety standards.
· Perform DOT (Department of Transportation) inspections and ensure trucks meet safety and legal requirements.
· Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and services performed.
· Stay up to date with industry standards, vehicle technology, and repair techniques.
· Communicate with supervisors and service writers regarding required repairs and recommended services
· Perform complex repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering and other vehicle systems.
· Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
· Completion of an automotive vocational program or dealer factory training program is preferred
· 2 years of Automotive experience as Automotive or Diesel technician is preferred
· Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance
· Familiarity with DOT safety inspections
· Ability to work independently or as a team
· Have own personal tools to perform work
· Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
