Training Supervisor

Each of our 100 offices has its own individual identity, and each also has its own unique rewards. The Training Supervisor will oversee a group of trainers at TransPerfect. They will be responsible for troubleshooting trainer-related issues and supporting a team of trainers. The supervisor will also evaluate trainer performance and provide ongoing coaching for development. DESCRIPTION Supervise, coach, and develop trainers Ensure the utilization of a variety of instructional methodologies and learning theories Participate in the development of training content Monitor and review the progress of trainers, trainees, and training classes Partner with Training & Development team leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of training Collaborate with peers within the Training & Development Team to support the broader organizational training strategy Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment Stay current with training best practices and new learning methodologies Work to expand knowledge of, and stay current with, the interpreting profession Perform other duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS Bilingual skills may be required depending on the department the position supports (i.e., OPI/BPO) The ability to train and work with individuals who speak English as a second language Familiarity with training best practices Excellent facilitation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer literacy skills; proficiency in MS Office products: Word, Power Point, Excel Strong organizational skills and the ability to be self-directed Ability to be flexible and utilize initiative to address issues REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 years’ training experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Previous coaching and performance management experience is a plus Experience streamlining processes Experience partnering with internal clients and teams on projects TransPerfect is the world’s largest provider of language services and technology solutions for global business.
