What is the project about?
The purpose of this project is to build a diverse, high-quality dataset of images that will be used to develop and improve machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision technologies, including image processing, recognition, and feature detection.
Task Description:
You will be asked to submit different types of images in RAW and other formats using smartphones or digital cameras across a wide range of scenes, lighting conditions, and photographic styles. Images can be submitted for a wide variety of categories, e.g., nature, events, animate and inanimate objects, etc., using our mobile app or browser-based data collection tool.
We will be collecting the following types of images:
- RAW Images: individual, unedited images captured directly from the device, saved in RAW format. These files retain the raw data captured by the device at the moment the photo was taken. For this category, the images should be native RAW and DNG where applicable, including CR3, NEF, ARW, RAF, DNG, RW2, ORF, and PEF.
- Image Pairs: pairs of identical images, with specific objects present in one and removed in the other image. For this category, the images should be JPEGs, not RAWs.
You can submit as many images as you wish for all the open categories. Some categories might have limits: once filled, no more images will be accepted for them. This works on a first come, first serve principle.
Please note that all images must be your own and taken by you; photos downloaded from the Internet or created with AI will not be accepted. Images can be newly captured or previously taken.
Note about Public Images (Images captured in publicly accessible places and/or with identifiable individuals). We accept Public Images only if they were taken in the following states: AL, AK, AZ, AR, FL, GA, HI, ID, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MO, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, VT, WV, WI, WY. For non-public images, there is no location restriction.

Who is eligible?
To participate you should meet the following qualifying criteria:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Be a resident of the United States.
- Be able to upload RAW images or a pair of two images following our instructions.
All images should be taken with one of the following devices:
iPhone models accepted:
- 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max
- 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max
- 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max
They must run iOS 14.3 or later. No other smartphones are permitted.
Digital Cameras:
- Full-frame mirrorless
- Full-frame DSLR
- APS-C mirrorless
- APS-C DSL
Where is the project taking place?
This is a fully remote project. You can participate from the comfort of your home or preferred location within the US (except Illinois, Washington, and Texas).
How much is the compensation?
You will receive $1.50 USD per each accepted image.
As payment methods we offer Wire Transfer, PayPal, Gift Card, and Check according to your preference.
Please note that all submissions will be checked by our Quality Assurance team, and compensation will be provided for submitted and accepted photos. The project team will provide you with feedback once the Quality Check process is completed.
Referral Bonus Program
We offer a referral bonus of $15 USD for each participant you refer to the project who submits a minimum of 50 accepted photos.
