We have an immediate opening for a Sales Rep/Merchandiser (Part Time) position on Kauai for our wholesale distribution business. If you are enjoy working with people and operating independently, please note the job description below.
TransPac Group is a fast-growing wholesale distribution business based in Aiea, Hawaii. Founded 29 years ago, we distribute modern oral nicotine, tobacco, grocery, candy, snacks, toys, and other general merchandise to most major grocery, drug, and convenience retailers in Hawaii.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Create & keep good customer relations with current/future accounts
- Communicate with managers and owners at each account
- Weekly store visits
- Check in orders at stores
- Merchandise products at stores
- Introduce new products to accounts
- Place orders daily for the stops you visit that day
- Keep accounts looking presentable and filled
- Have an eye for detail while performing set ups
- Take pictures of all product at each stop you go to & provide market reports
- Process claims and returns for damaged or expired products
- Ship back products that are taken out of stores to Oahu
- Perform resets and surveys
- Fill out and scan invoices and receiving documents
- Send pictures in of each stop daily
- Send “End Of Day Report” at the conclusion of each day
Qualifications include:
- Previous merchandising / sales experience is preferred, but not required
- Driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- iPhone or reliable smartphone with web browser and email
- Responsible, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Compensation and benefits:
- Commissions based on merchandise sales volume
- Mileage allowance
