Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager
Location: 224 Old Ferry Rd, Brattleboro, VT
Start Date: ASAP
Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Weekends required
Hours: 11pm - 8am
Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support the daily operations of our distribution depot. This is a newly created role that combines hands-on work with leadership support. You will work closely with the Delivery & Route Operations Manager to ensure efficient, safe, and timely delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily depot operations and distribution activities
- Assist with route management and delivery coordination
- Help maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Provide customer service and support account needs
- Coordinate communication with publishers and manage returns
- Assist in resolving operational issues and improving efficiency
- Provide coverage based on operational needs and scheduling demands
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Schedule & Travel
- Schedule will vary based on the needs of a time-sensitive distribution operation
- Travel may be required as needed

This position is classified as non-exempt under applicable wage laws and is eligible for overtime. As business needs evolve, job duties, title, and reporting structure may change at the company’s discretion.
Requirements:
- Valid, clean driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to/from the terminal
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working overnight in all weather conditions
- Smartphone with data plan
- Ability to lift and carry items
