Position Summary
The Clinical Lab Intern will receive structured safety training and assist laboratory staff with study preparation, data collection, and experiment execution. This role is designed to introduce students to the scientific method and provide foundational laboratory experience in a professional research environment.
This internship is ideal for high school seniors with an interest in science and a desire to explore laboratory or healthcare-related career paths.

Hours: 24- 32 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Support
- Complete required laboratory safety training
- Assist staff with study setup and preparation
- Support data collection and documentation
- Assist with experiment execution under supervision
- Perform various laboratory organizational and support tasks
- Observe and participate in scientific study workflows
- Develop understanding of the scientific method and experimental design
- Learn the importance of documentation accuracy and responsibility in research
- Gain exposure to professional laboratory standards and safety culture
- Work alongside experienced laboratory staff
- Follow instructions carefully and ask questions when needed
- Maintain a professional and responsible presence in the lab environment
- Foundational laboratory experience
- Exposure to real-world research activities
- Understanding of safety protocols and scientific responsibility
- Insight into potential careers in science, medicine, or biotechnology
- High School Senior
- Enrolled in science-oriented coursework (Biology preferred)
- Strong interest in science and laboratory work
- Responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
