What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Transport Driver position at TransMedCare?
As a Medical Transport Driver (Long Distance / Non-emergency) at TransMedCare LLC, your primary responsibility will be to provide safe and efficient across the country transport for patients and their families. You will work as part of a team with another driver and medical crew member to ensure the highest level of service and safety during transport.
Main Duties:
Drive medical transport vans across long distances safely.
Coordinate driving shifts and vehicle inventory with another driver and medical crew member.
Document daily logs for each trip and complete a PM (Preventive Maintenance) inspection daily.
Utilize a smartphone for driving directions and submitting documentation.
Maintain cleanliness of the driver's bed and driver/passenger seating area.
Assist medical staff as needed and check inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or malfunctions immediately.
Accommodate the needs of family members if they are accompanied.
Suggest improvements to office task workflows to enhance efficiency.
Uphold and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Eligibility:
Must be 25 years of age or older due to insurance carrier requirements
Work flexible hours, including weekends.
Read, write, and understand English.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to fly when needed.
Reliably commute to TransMedCare office.
Able to commit 5-10 consecutive days per trip.
Able to travel to the continental 48 states.
No pet allergies.
Ability to lift 100 lbs assisted.

- Previous experience driving a Promaster-style van or heavier: 1 year (Preferred)
