Role Description The Human Resources Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Indianapolis, IN, responsible for supporting HR operations across TransJet Cargo’s North American business. This role manages day-to-day HR activities, including administering employee benefits, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, maintaining employee records, and supporting performance management processes. The Human Resources Specialist helps implement HR policies and procedures, ensures compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, and provides guidance to employees and managers on HR-related matters. Additional responsibilities include coordinating training initiatives, supporting employee relations efforts, and collaborating with internal teams to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with company values.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with the ability to support daily HR operations and initiatives.
- Knowledge of HR Policies and Employee Benefits, including compliance with relevant labor and employment regulations.
- Must have good experience in Recruiting.
- Experience in Personnel Management, such as employee relations, performance support, and maintaining accurate HR records.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and standard office software; experience in logistics, trucking, or transportation is an advantage.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
