What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Therapist/MSW or LCSW position at Transitions Mental Health Services?
Description -
Provide diagnostic services and individual therapy services to children, adolescents (ages 5yo - 18yo) and their families who are impacted by mental health conditions. Services delivered in both office and local school settings. Travel locally in Rock Island County expected.
Requirements
- Master's level education in social work/counseling/psychology
- Prefer eligibility for licensure in IL.
- Prefer 1 to 3 years’ experience in community mental health
Strong Professional Skills of Importance:
- Excellent knowledge and application of DSM diagnoses
- Assessment abilities
- Trauma-informed framework and knowledge
- Clinical therapy skills grounded in EBP's for population served
- Excellent communication skills and writing/documentation skills
- Knowledge of funder's expectations and the ability to meet these in a timely manner
- Highly collaborative and flexible in a team setting. Strong people skills, diplomatic, excellent problem-solving and consultation skills.
Salary is commensurate with education and/or license
May be eligible for the IL Behavioral Health Workforce School Loan Repayment Program *eligible to Bachelor and Master’s level professionals working in CMHC’s in IL (must be an IL Resident to qualify).
We will offer clinical supervision toward licensure as part of employment experience. Clinical training funds provided to support ongoing learning and certifications.
