Program Manager – Transitional Youth / Braking Cycles Housing Program
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Executive Director
Supervises: House Managers (8 across four homes), Independent Living Coordinators, and support staff
Position Summary
The Program Manager provides leadership, oversight, and daily operational management for Transitional Youth / Braking Cycles’ housing program, which includes four residential homes serving vulnerable youth and young adults. This role ensures safe, stable, and growth-oriented environments where youth receive consistent support, mentoring, and life-skills development.
The Program Manager equips staff, ensures compliance with policies, and upholds the mission and values of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight
• Provide overall leadership for four housing sites, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care.
• Oversee program operations, schedules, and day-to-day systems.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Executive Director regarding program needs and youth progress.
Staff Leadership & Supervision
• Supervise eight House Managers and Independent Living Coordinators.
• Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing training.
• Support staff in behavior management, crisis response, and mentoring.
Youth Support & Case Management Oversight
• Ensure youth receive individualized support plans and life-skills instruction.
• Oversee documentation, incident reports, and progress notes.
• Coordinate with partners, schools, mentors, and service providers.
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure homes meet safety regulations and organizational policies.
• Maintain emergency procedures and support staff in crises.
• Oversee intake and exit processes for youth.
Program Development & Quality Assurance
• Track program outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Assist in developing program policies, SOPs, and training tools.
• Identify opportunities for strengthening youth development practices.
Qualifications
• Experience in youth services, residential programs, social work, or related field.
• Supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in alignment with faith-based values and the mission of Transitional Youth / Braking Cycles.
• Must pass background check and meet driving/insurance requirements.
