POSITION: Job Coach
TYPE OF POSITION: Part-time; hourly
HOURS PER WEEK: Up to 25 hours per week, variable shifts and hours during the workweek from Sunday to Saturday. Must be availble on some evenings and Saturdays. Flexible Schedule Availability
LOCATION: Community and Employment Locations-Various locations within Washington County
DUTIES:
Job Coach assists the TEC Transition and Employment Specialist with assisting individuals with disabilities to become independent, productive members of the community by providing job readiness training and placement into competitive employment, independent living and post-secondary education settings.
Services in the supported employment and transition program include but are not limited to; actively supervising clients, individual needs assessment, modeling of appropriate behavior in the workplace, redirection, verbal and gestural prompting, vocational exploration, job readiness and job skills training, job development, job placement, job site training, community-based vocational opportunities, follow-up assessment and support for clients seeking competitive and independent employment, independent living and post-secondary education options.
Serves as a liaison between the employment site and the Employment/Transition Specialists. Monitors and evaluates job performance of individuals placed in a volunteer position, trial work positions, transitional employment, community-based work experiences, and competitive employment. Assists in providing follow-up services necessary to maintain employment.
Job Coach maintains customer case records objectively and accurately for progress reporting and monitoring. Completes written daily and monthly customer performance evaluations to be shared with employers, districts and other agencies. Prepares monthly reports for statistical, financial, and administrative purposes. Attends meetings and training as necessary and required.
Performs other work-related duties as necessary and/or assigned by the TEC Executive Director.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.65 per hour
