Accounting SupervisorCentral San Diego - Hybrid - $105k to $115k - Direct Hire Position Overview:Our client is a national leader in the financial services industry, generating over $5B in annual revenue and widely recognized for its stability, sustained growth, and people-first culture. They are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead key general ledger functions, oversee financial reporting activities, and ensure a timely and accurate month-end close.Responsibilities:Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Supervise and mentor staff accountants; support performance evaluations and workload planning.Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze financial results and support business initiatives.Support external audit requests and coordinate audit schedules.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.Assist with ERP upgrades, system enhancements, and data integrity initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5 years of progressive accounting experiencePrior leadership or supervisory experienceCPA strongly preferred; public accounting experience a plusExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExcellent communication abilities with a collaborative mindsetCompany DescriptionTransition Staffing Group is an award winning San Diego based staffing agency providing solutions on a Temporary, Temporary-to-Hire and Direct Hire basis.
