Job Overview
We are seeking an LVN to provide essential support and care to an individual in their home. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role is crucial in promoting independence while delivering high-quality care tailored to each client's unique needs. We are looking for BACKUP or per diem as needed throughout the week. There's typically 2-3 shifts that open up every week. Needing to start ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as required.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress and needs.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition or behavior.
Skills
- Strong understanding of family planning principles to support clients' overall well-being.
- Background in nursing or critical care is highly desirable for effective patient assessment.
- Experience in assisted living environments or acute care settings is a plus.
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation techniques to monitor client health status.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information.
- Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage for enhanced client support.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, particularly in PICU or similar environments.
