What You’ll Do Every Day
Every day is different! As a Visitation Specialist, you’ll spend much of your day safely transporting children (birth through 18 years old) to and from scheduled family visits, foster homes, schools, appointments, and other approved locations.
You’ll also supervise visits between parents and children or siblings, complete documentation, communicate with caseworkers and caregivers, and help ensure every child feels safe, supported, and cared for throughout the visitation process.

Primary Responsibilities
Safely transport children (ages 0–18) to and from approved locations.
Supervise visits between parents and children or siblings.
Complete accurate daily visitation and transportation reports.
Maintain the safety and well-being of children during transportation and visits.
Install and properly secure children in age-appropriate car seats and booster seats.
Communicate professionally with parents, foster parents, caseworkers, and agency staff.
Make and receive work-related phone calls regarding schedules and transportation.
Travel throughout Cook, Will, Kankakee, Lake, and DeKalb Counties.
Maintain confidentiality while providing compassionate, professional services.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
Be drug-free.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Have a clean/good driving record.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Be able to lift 10–20 pounds when necessary.
Have a reliable vehicle (if choosing to use a personal vehicle for work).
Have a dependable cellular phone.
Be organized, punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
Pay: $18.00 per hour
