About
Transit Technical assists Transportation OEMs, End Users and their Suppliers throughout North America within the 4 phases of a vehicle’s lifespan (Production, Pre and Post Delivery, Warranty and Post Warranty). Objective
This role will take on the responsibility for developing and executing direct sales strategies with Transit OEMs and suppliers, hunting and receiving public bids and growing existing customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow key accounts
- Hunt and Quote public bids for installations and services within the Transit Market
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve targets and expand the customer base
- Monitor performance against forecasts and implement adjustments, as needed
- Communicate with new and existing customers regularly, including on site trips, generate contact reports and advise leadership on new and existing leads
- Attend trade shows and conferences
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments in a timely and professional manner
- Work remotely, transitioning to in-office work and hybrid, as needed
- Occasionally accompany Field Technicians and/or Leadership to customer sites and installs
- Update CRM on a daily basis
- Be comfortable with aggressive sales strategy
Required Skills, Experience and Education
- Minimum 1 year experience in sales role within the transportation or adjacent market
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or Marketing Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to generate new customers and build existing customer base
- Demonstrated ability to sell products and services in an ever-changing atmosphere
- Ability to complete tasks with new customers independently, maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Coordinate, complete and track work accurately and independently
- Strong work ethic and values: integrity, service, and professionalism are our focus
- Reliability and flexibility are crucial for this career path
- Comfortability with computer use and Microsoft products is required
- Must be able to work within all 50 United States
- Must be willing to be subject to a pre-employment criminal background check and at random drug screening
- Candidate must have Valid US Driver's License
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 infractions in 5 years
- Must be comfortable working, driving and traveling under monitored conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Execute job with high levels of trust and communication
Preferred Skills

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to manufacturing and warehouse-type settings, including moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of environmental conditions at the job site, including working outdoors at times. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, limited in visibility, low light, night and bright conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, read, write, and hear English.
