Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various automotive systems using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, steering components, and powertrain systems.
- Execute oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance procedures to ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
- Repair engines and heavy equipment mechanics tasks as required, utilizing specialized knowledge of diesel engine repair and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Interpret technical schematics and repair manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle repairs meet quality standards.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repair.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, and suspension systems.
- Skilled in working with schematics for precise troubleshooting and repairs.
- Experience working with ADAS technology, auto estimating, auto body repair, welding, and auto service procedures.
- Familiarity with tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, oil changes, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; heavy equipment mechanics experience is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused approach to automotive service.
