Job Overview
Transformed Builders is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter / Remodeling Craftsman to join our field team.
This is a hands-on residential construction and remodeling position. We are not looking for heavy equipment operators, concrete-only experience, or general site labor.
We need someone who knows how to build with their hands, is confident using construction tools, understands residential remodeling, and can take a project from plan to completion while helping lead others in the field.
The right candidate should have real, hands-on experience with projects such as decks, kitchens, bathrooms, interior renovations, framing, trim, and general residential construction.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on residential construction and remodeling work
- Build and renovate decks, kitchens, bathrooms, and other residential spaces
- Complete framing, drywall, trim, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and general carpentry work as needed
- Safely and confidently use hand tools and power tools
- Read measurements, understand project plans, and determine the steps needed to complete assigned work
- Identify problems in the field and communicate solutions
- Maintain quality workmanship throughout each project
- Help organize and direct the daily work of helpers and other crew members
- Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe
- Communicate professionally with the project manager, team members, subcontractors, and homeowners
- Take ownership of assigned work and follow projects through to completion
What We Are Looking For
We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on residential building and remodeling experience.
Qualified candidates should:
- Have experience in residential carpentry, remodeling, renovation, or general construction
- Know how to build and repair using their hands and tools
- Be comfortable completing multiple types of residential construction work
- Have experience with kitchens, bathrooms, decks, framing, trim, or similar renovation projects
- Be able to work independently without needing constant instruction
- Be capable of helping lead a small crew and keeping work moving
- Understand the importance of quality, accuracy, and finishing work correctly
- Be dependable, punctual, and accountable
- Have reliable transportation
Important
Heavy equipment, excavation, concrete, roadwork, or general labor experience alone does not meet the requirements for this position.
We are looking for an experienced residential carpenter/craftsman who can demonstrate hands-on building and remodeling skills.
