Director of Sales and Marketing

Business Travel, lifestyle hotel, Delphi Systems experience REQUIRED.

Exciting opportunity for an energetic sales professional in the Santa Monica market who can appreciate representing an upscale, luxurious hotel. We are searching for an experienced & dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing, to lead our professional Sales & Catering team while representing the hotel. Must be a passionate Sales Director with a proven track record that demonstrates passion & ability to drive the team revenue to meet financial goals. Looking for a hands-on Sales Director who will have some selling responsibility.

The Director of Sales and Marketing will lead the strategic planning and execution of the Sales Department’s goals and objectives. Utilize prospecting skills and strong business sense to consistently exceed room night and revenue goals. Recruit, deploy, motivate, support and grow a team of Sales Managers to do the same. Develop and work within the stated budgets.

Requirements:

• 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry.
• Lifestyle branding experience.
• Proven track record of a consistent ability to exceed sales goals.
• Previous sales leadership experience preferred.
• Delphi systems knowledge.
• Ability to travel on sales trips out of town for multiple nights.
• Strong emphasis on details, communication and organization skills.
• Aggressive negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close business with high conversion ratio.
• Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services. Business travel sales.
• Time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with public and fellow team members
• Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required and the applicant must maintain a flexible schedule
