- Strategic Leadership & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-campus security strategy. Conduct ongoing risk assessments and translate the church’s vision into actionable safety policies and emergency response plans.
- Operations & Systems Management: Acts as the first point of contact on campus during the week, creating a positive first impression for all guests. This role requires excellent communication, strong people skills, and the ability to effectively assess and resolve situations. Oversee the maintenance of all security technology, including surveillance, access control, and communication tools.
- Incident Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for security incidents. Lead response efforts, oversee investigations, and maintain strong partnerships with local law enforcement and emergency services.
- Team Development & Readiness: Assist with recruiting and coaching a high-caliber team of staff and volunteers. Assist with design and lead regular safety training and drills to ensure organizational readiness and a culture of excellence.
- Ensure Compliance and Stewardship Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all legal and safety standards. Build strong relationships with local law enforcement and emergency response partners.

- REQUIRED: Minimum two years of experience required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Ministry experience preferred
- Ability to lead self and others in a healthy environment that produces self-awareness, along with the spiritual, emotional, and professional growth
- Ability to adjust and handle multiple, high-level, fast-paced projects simultaneously
- Exceptional tact and discretion with confidential information
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sufficiently competent and skillful in technology (i.e., email, documents, presentations)
- Must have successful completion of criminal background record, driving record (as applicable), and reference checks
- Active CLEET certification required; prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service strongly preferred.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Must demonstrate well-reasoned, sound judgment and a collaborative decision-making style
- Ability to prioritize and deal with several tasks concurrently, while maintaining flexibility, high energy, creativity, and attention to detail
- Ability to relate well to the diverse populations of the Church
- Maintain current knowledge of church-related violence in the United States
- Proficient computer skills with Apple and Google products, and the ability to learn TC-used databases and technologies
- Physicality: Stand, walk, run, climb stairs, and lift/carry at least 50 lbs.
- Emergency Response: Act quickly and effectively during critical incidents.
- Subject Control: Skilled in de-escalation and physical control of hostile individuals.
- Hazard Awareness: Able to identify and react to potential threats or dangerous persons.
- Flexibility: Available to work non-traditional hours as needed.
