Communications – Film & Photography Specialist

About the Role

Transformation Church is seeking a Film & Photography Specialist to lead the production of high-quality, high-impact visual storytelling content across all TC channels. This specialist is responsible for crafting compelling video experiences and photographic imagery for our weekend services, discipleship events, broadcasts, social media, and digital properties. The Film & Photography Specialist is an integral part of a growing Communications Team and collaborates closely with the various ministry teams of our church to bring our mission, vision and brand to life through visual mediums.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the visual standards and tone for filmmaking and cinematic storytelling.
• Lead, disciple and steward teams of volunteer Servant Leaders who donate their time and skills to support the film and photography ministry areas.
• Competently manage equipment, assets, budgets, and vendors to ensure responsible stewardship of all film and photography resources.
• Use fundamental project management skills to plan, schedule, execute, and debrief all work in a strategic and goal-driven roadmap.
• Execute all phases of video production including Pre (concepts, scripting, storyboarding, casting, logistics), Production (film and sound capture; studio and on-location sets) and Post (editing, visual effects, color grading).
• Provide key perspectives and execute deliverables in the sermon series development process.
• Provide weekly video and photo support for various Communications channels including broadcast, worship services, social media, and special events.
• Create motion graphics and animations that support video-based storytelling and other communication channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Photography, Fine Art, Visual Arts, Design, Media, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent career experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of employed, contracted, or volunteer experience in video production, ideally in a ministry or nonprofit context.
• Portfolio reel that demonstrates strong competency in visual storytelling, technical skill, and creative range.
• Mastery of Adobe video and photo editing software and related tools and equipment.
• Ability to flex working hours to include weekends, and some evenings and holidays.
• Willing to become a member of Transformation Church within a reasonable timeframe.
