Role Description The Lead Clinician is a full-time, on-site position located in Jackson, TN, responsible for providing direct clinical services and leading aspects of program delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, completing comprehensive assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, and coordinating care for clients in intensive outpatient and related programs. The Lead Clinician will provide clinical oversight and guidance to other team members, contribute to case consultations, and help ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary providers, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and participating in community outreach or education as needed. This position requires a commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered care, and a strong focus on ethical practice and cultural sensitivity.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in individual and group psychotherapy, including experience with trauma, PTSD, grief, and eating disorders.
- Ability to conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments, formulate diagnoses, and create person-centered, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Proficiency in maintaining clear, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with state and accreditation standards.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring or supervising clinicians and contributing to program development and quality improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working within a multidisciplinary team and engaging with families, caregivers, and community partners.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care in diverse client populations.
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; active clinical licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC/MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent) in Tennessee or licensure eligibility.
- Experience in intensive outpatient (IOP), PHP, or similar higher level-of-care settings is strongly preferred.
